NAEYC Accreditation Renewed

NAEYC 2024

Day Treatment Program Accredited with Highest Level of Standard

The Children’s Place is proud to once again be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is the gold standard for quality early education programs and has reviewed our Day Treatment program, a mental health treatment program set in an early education environment.

A representative from NAEYC visited last month and spent a significant amount of time in each of our classrooms, meeting with the educational team and reviewing policies and classroom portfolios.

“I’m proud of our talented team of educators for continuing to meet this highest level of standard,” said Pam Simpson, Director of Early Education. “Our education staff work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that the children in our Day Treatment program receive the strong foundation they need to thrive in kindergarten and beyond, and we’re honored to receive this acknowledgment of their talents and efforts.”

Children in our Day Treatment program have experienced multiple traumatic events and are exhibiting developmental delays. With an array of mental health, occupational health and speech-language therapy, coupled with the highest caliber early education, Day Treatment helps children prepare for kindergarten while helping them heal from the traumatic experiences they have endured.

The Children’s Place has been accredited by NAEYC since 2001, this latest accreditation is valid until 2029.
