Leave a Legacy & Tax-Incentive Giving

Gifts that Make a Lasting Impact

Legacy gifts ensure the future of The Children’s Place can continue our life-changing mental health programs and services for children and families that have experienced traumatic events. There are ways to give that can also provide tax incentives.

Transform mental health healing for young children in our community with a planned gift. There are many ways to see the impact during your lifetime and continue your legacy in the future.

IRA-RMD (Individual Retirement Account-Required Minimum Distributions)

If you are 73 years old or older, you can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to The Children’s Place without having to pay income taxes on the money.

Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

Donor Advised Funds (DAF) are among the fastestgrowing forms of giving, allowing you to donate to your fund and take an immediate tax deduction while waiting to decide where to donate it.

Stocks & Securities

Increase your gift and tax deduction by donating stocks or securities. A gift of stock made before December 31 of a calendar year may reduce your tax burden for the year you give.

Wills & Bequests

When you make The Children’s Place a part of your estate plans with a bequest in your will you help provide life-changing mental health services to children in Kansas City.
