The Children's Place's Home on Rockhill Road

More than just a Place, The Children’s Place’s building is thoughtfully and intentionally designed to be a place of healing for young children and families. A dream years in the making, The Children’s Place moved into its state-of-the-art building in late 2020. The building features a vibrant and playful color palette, inviting to young children while also providing a soothing and peaceful space to heal.

Our space has earned a variety of prestigious local and national awards:

2022 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) top national award in the Healthcare category.
The International Interior Design Association’s 2021 Elevate Award was given to Ann Thomas for her role in casting the vision for our new building.
The Kansas City Business Journal’s 2022 Capstone Real Estate Award for Adaptive Reuse
Featured in an Oct. 2021 presentation at the Kansas City Area Healthcare Engineers Annual Conference with The Children’s Place President/CEO Ann Thomas and architectural firm HOK.
