The Children’s Place depends on so many generous people who support our mission and stand up for children’s mental health. The stories behind these individuals are diverse and inspiring. Our Heart for Hope series spotlights just some of these amazing people and shares their stories.
Meet Vic Wavada, a new friend of The Children’s Place who is a true champion for children and families in our community. Vic started his involvement with The Children’s Place earlier this year when he was assigned as a CASA volunteer (Court-Appointed Special Advocate through our friends at Jackson County CASA) with a child in our Day Treatment program.
Vic was quick to chip in after that, becoming a Healing Hero monthly donor, sponsoring entire weeks of our food pantry program covering food for 30+ backpacks, and clearing our school supply list to send our graduates off to kindergarten with all the tools they need.
Most recently, Vic stopped by with his second delivery this spring of plants and flowers for our staff.
Thank you to Vic for being a true Heart for Hope and helping in any and all ways for children in our community. We are so grateful for you!
