For a decade, April Crosser has been a fixture of The Children’s Place, as a loyal volunteer, donor, and sometimes even dressed as a hot dog!
April was a passionate member of our Angel Board for years, but she hasn’t slowed down since stepping off the board. She is a regular volunteer in our food pantry, often bringing in a friend or two to help her and connect them with the mission of The Children’s Place.
When she’s not bringing in a new friend, you’ll often find her serving alongside another loyal volunteer, Kathy Schirger (here dressed as Tigger) Both generous volunteers are also part of the leadership team that hosts Mahj for a Cause each year, giving generously of their time and resources to make that event a success.
Always with a smile on her face, April is a true connector of people and willing to do whatever is needed for The Children’s Place, from organizing a clothing closet to stuffing backpacks full of food. And if one of those volunteer projects happens to fall on Halloween, you can bet she will show up in costume!
Thank you to April for being a true Heart for Hope and helping in any and all ways for the children and families we serve. We are so grateful for you!
