More than 100 mahjong aficionados gathered earlier this week for Mahj for a Cause! Thank you to all who joined us for this lively morning that raised more than $14,000 for The Children’s Place!
Thank you especially to our Guardian Angels, a group of former members of our Angel Board, who take the lead on this event and step up to help in so many ways at The Children’s Place.

With nearly a decade on our Young Ambassador Board along with supporting The Children’s Place as a Healing Hero, Mary Simpson has seen The Children’s Place grow and evolve from the tight quarters at our previous building on 59th Street to the organization that it is today.
The start of the new year brought upon the official launch of our new strategic plan, a comprehensive vision shaped by the many voices of caregivers, staff, community volunteers, donors and funders. Formally approved by our Board of Directors last fall, this plan will guide the actions of The Children’s Place over the coming years in accordance with our mission and vision.
